THE UNNIE VIBE

About us!

The dance group The Unnie Vibe originated from a strong interest in K-pop and commercial dance. The initiative was started by Wendy Huynh, who discovered K-pop in 2004 and early on developed a passion for the genre. In 2014, the dance group The Unnie Vibe was formed—a Malmö-based K-pop crew that currently consists of 20 members. The group has participated in several shows, competitions, and various events.

To spread the interest in K-pop dance to a wider audience, the dance school The Unnie Vibe Academy was founded in the fall of 2017. The school focuses on K-pop and is part of a growing K-pop community where dance, creativity, and a sense of community are at the core.

In 2019, the crew flew to Korea, where they participated in an international K-pop dance cover competition. They won the competition and got to perform with the biggest girl group in Korea, called TWICE. They also progressed to the finale to compete against all the winners from each episode and finished at third place. The competition was broadcasted on the Korean TV channel JTBC.
