The Battle of K-pop 2026 – COMPETE

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS:

The Battle of K-pop is finally back!

This year, the competition will take place at Malmöfestivalen, Don’t miss the chance to perform on stage in front of a large audience at one of Sweden’s biggest festivals. The winner will receive 5000 SEK and the title of Best K-pop Performance of the Year.

And remember – we welcome ALL applications, regardless of nationality or current place of residence!

📅 Date: Saturday, August 8
📍 Location: Älvsborgsbron, Malmö, Sweden
The event is completely free and takes place outdoors.

THE JUDGES

G.NOTE (DK)

G. Note from Denmark is a dancer and choreographer with a passion for creating choreographies that tell stories and highlight details. He has extensive experience from both studies, courses, and teaching – locally as well as internationally.

He is also active in the freestyle and battle scene, with achievements such as qualifying for Red Bull Dance Your Style two years in a row. In addition to dancing, he has extensive experience as a judge and has judged competitions in both Sweden and the Faroe Islands.

HARIMU (KR)

Harimu is a dancer and choreographer from South Korea. Many recognize her from the TV show Street Woman Fighter 2, where she competed with 1MILLION Dance Crew. She has worked with several K-pop artists and created choreography for, among others, Joy from Red Velvet, Billlie, and Hyoyeon.

Harimu is known for her feminine style, strong presence, and charismatic stage presence. She works as a choreographer at 1MILLION Dance Studio and recently competed with her team at IDL in New York.

SHAY (SWE)

Our Swedish representative Shay is a dancer and choreographer with a background in street dance. She has worked as a dance teacher, is a member of the dance group UNITED, and has experience in the entertainment industry in South Korea.

Shay loves performing on stage and connecting with the audience, and believes that it’s the dancers’ personality that makes a show memorable.

Shay and her team won last year, and we are very happy to have her back as a judge this year.
